Library Open Computer Lab

What's available in the Open Computer Lab at the Truax Campus, Room 230:

• Library Map
• 87 PCs, 7 Macintoshs (6 iMacs, 1 Notebook), 2 laser printers.
• 2 scanners for school-related projects.
• Wireless network access throughout the library.
• Student Computer Help Desk and Library Reference Desk
• From the Library Circulation desk, you can checkout a variety of items on reserve to use in the lab including headphones, usb drives, camera card readers, external zip drives, and external floppy drives.
• Course-related software and Microsoft Office software. Note: As of Oct. 2008, the Truax Library lab has Office 2003. At Truax, all of the labs on the first floor have Office 2003.  The Library, T241, T264, T265, T266, T303, T373, T376 have Office 2003.  Downtown, there are some computers in the Library that still have Office 2003, and D201 and D239 still have Office 2003.  All of the regional campuses have Office 2007 installed.For a list of available software and hardware throughout the college, see the Technology Services Lab Configuration web page.

What is my username?

You can check your user name and email address in the Student Directory. If you have an e-mail address listed, then your account has already been activated. Your e-mail address is: username@stu.matcmadison.edu. For example, if the username is jdoe, then the e-mail address would be jdoe@stu.matcmadison.edu. If there is no e-mail address listed after your name, activate your MATC student computer account. Go to Inside MATC Account Activation
